Sprenger's Asparagus Fern Overview

Evergreen perennial in the asparagus family, Asparagaceae with a branching growth habit. This plant produces graceful arching stems and feathery fern-like foliage comprised of needle-like leaves, however it is not a true fern. Tiny white-pink, star-shaped flowers appear in summer, followed by red berries in autumn. The attractive foliage can be used in floral arrangements. Well suited to planting in a hanging arrangement, this plant is a popular garden ornamental in temperate climates and it is also commonly grown indoors as a houseplant. May be invasive due to their vigorous growth, in their native environment they successfully outcompete other species. Keep moist and out of direct sun.
