An evergreen perennial looking somewhat similar to Solomon's seal (Polygonatum x hybridum) with glossy, lance-shaped green leaves in pairs on dark stems. In early summer, rows of small lightly lemon-scented, white, bell-shaped flowers are borne along the undersides of the stems.
