Astrantia maxima is a branching, herbaceous perennial plant from the Apiaceae family. Commonly known by the name Largest Masterwort. It commonly grows to around 60cm tall, foliage is 3-lobed and this plant produces small pink flowers. The flowers are surrounded by modified leaves known as bracts, coloured pink. This species has earned a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
