Sekukuni Spurflower Overview
Succulent-like, herbous perennial plant with distinctive deeply lobed leaves on self-branching stout stems. One of the few Plectranthus more prone to grow in the sun. Fragrant leaves remind of 'Vicks', a medication used to help with chess problems. The purplish mauve flowers usually appear in late fall. Previously known as Plectranthus venteri, this plant has recently been re-classified as being part of the Coleus genus and their name change was announced by NATAG (RHS Nomenclature and Taxonomy Advisory Group) in the March 2021 edition of The Plant Review.
