Aubretia 'Rich Rose' Overview
Aubrieta 'Rich Rose' is evergreen and compact, mat-forming hardy perennial that produces deep rose-pink flowers in early spring above grey-green leaves. Occasionally listed as Aubrieta × coltorum 'Rich Rose', these spreading plants prefer a free-draining spot in full sun - will tolerate partial shade - making them ideal to grow over slopes, in containers or even in wall crevices where they can trail down. This bee-friendly and low maintenance plant only needs cutting back in early summer - immediately after flowering - to encourage a dense and compact habit. Giving it a feed at the same time will help the plants recovery.
