Alstonia Overview

Genus of approximately 43 large tree and shrub species originating from tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Central America, Southeast Asia, Australia and Polynesia. Foliage is leathery and flowers are funnel-shaped, scented, white, yellow, pink or green coloured. Species from this genus have been used in traditional medicine, particularly the bark and they are mostly widespread, however some species are threatened in the wild.
