Agapanthus 'Angela' Overview
Agapanthus 'Angela' is a deciduous, clump forming perennial that produces striking pale blue funnel shaped flowers that form a rounded head standing tall above narrow, strap shaped leaves. African Lily 'Angela' gives a lovely summer display, looking especially stunning as part of a Mediterranean or mixed planting scheme. In areas where temperatures drop below minus 10C, it will happily grow in large containers that can be moved undercover during the winter months. Like the fairy tale character Goldilocks, Agapanthus like their growing space to be just so. Contra to popular wisdom, Agapanthus do not like to be overcrowded in their pots; however they also take a while to establish if planted up into too large spaces. As a rule of thumb, pot on every two years using a gritty multipurpose mix.
