Xerosicyos pubescens Overview

Very unlike the other two species in this genus, this is a caudiciform plant (huge succulent root, that is grown above ground in cultivation) with a deciduous vining habit. The leaves are not succulent. . The plants are collectors items with caudeces about 1 foot in diameter being prized. Like the other two Xerosicyos, this is also a Madagascan native.
