Yellow Stars Overview

Genus with around 93 herbaceous perennials with corms, rhizomes or tubers. This genus is comprised of geophytes, which are characterised by the production of an underground food storage organ such as a bulb, corm, rhizome or tuber. Foliage is lance to linear in shape and may possess hairs. Flowers are yellow with white, red or green colouration on the underside, these are borne singly or in clusters and they are hairy, particularly on the underside.
