Arum Overview
The genus Arum features around 25 tuberous perennial species, grown widely for their distinctive leaves and 10-40cm long, large, colourful flower spathes which resemble lilies. Most species come from the Mediterranean, but they may be found in Europe, Northern Africa and both West and Central Asia. One of the most well-knwon species, Arum maculatum has many common names including Cuckoo Pint and Lords and Ladies.
