Blazing star Overview
A genus of half-hardy bulbous perennials in the Iris family. They originate in Southern and tropical Africa and are popular garden plants because of their unusual fan-arranged sword-shaped leaves and funnel-like flowers that are available in a variety of bright colours. They are frost-tender and do well as pot plants as they can be overwintered in a greenhouse.
