Madagascar Dragon Tree Overview
Dracaena reflexa var. angustifolia used to be known as Dracaena marginata and it is commonly called Madagascar Dragon Tree. Many cultivars have been produced from this plant. This tender evergreen tree resides in the Asparagaceae family. It is frequently grown as an ornamental house plant for it's richly coloured olive green leaves, thick irregular stems and a shrubby habit. In sheltered positions with ideal growing conditions, they can reach 5m high but when grown as a houseplant it is usually much smaller with an upright habit.
