Mountain avens Overview

Small genus contains around 10 perennial, evergreen, woody-based subshrubs from sunny, arctic and alpine climates in Europe, Asia and North America. Characterised by 8-petalled flowers, they tend to be white in colour with a yellow centre or all yellow, cultivated specimens can produce cream flowers.
