Flapjack Plant Overview
Flapjack Plant, Kalanchoe thyrsiflora is a succulent plant from the Crassulaceae family. It can produce a flowering stalk up to 1m tall. This drought tolerant plant suits being included in low maintenance gravel or rock gardens, it can also be grown in containers for indoor locations such as conservatories and greenhouses. Originally from South Africa it produces a basal rosette of large fleshy leaves which are grey-green with red margins and are covered with a white powdery bloom. Tiny greenish flowers with yellow lobes appear in dense clusters at the top of the flower spike. This plant is often confused with or sold as Kalanchoe luciae.
