Tree Ferns Overview

Cyathea is a large genus containing roughly 306 evergreen, mostly terrestrial plants known commonly as Tree Ferns. These are usually single-stemmed but on rare occasions, species will have branched forms or a creeping habit. Most species possess a mass of knotted roots at the base of their trunks. They are distributed widely across tropical rainforest and temperate woodland climates on both sides of the equator. Grown for their divided foliage and overall ornamental appearance.
