Leontodon is a genus of 79 accepted species of herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the Asteraceae family. This genus is native to Eurasia and Northern Africa but widely naturalised elsewhere. Known commonly as hawkbits, they have a basal rosette of often toothed leaves and dandelion-like yellow flowerheads. They are usually grown in wildflower planting schemes.
