Trinity Flower Overview
The genus Trillium consists of around 50 hardy, rhizomatous perennials with a characteristic 3-whorled arrangement of petals, sepals and leaves. Solitary, cup-shaped flowers often have 3 outer sepals that are reflexed backwards and 3 inner petals most commonly coloured pink or white. This genus suits moist soils, well-placed in a woodland garden and could also be planted in a shaded border or rockery. This genus is also known by the terms Trinity Flower, Wood Lily and Wake Robin.
