Mexican Fan Palm Overview
Washingtonia robusta is a fast-growing evergreen palm in the Arecaceae family. It develops large fan-shaped leaves at the top of its slender stem. Each leaf is composed of many leaflets at the end of a spine edged petiole that can be up to 1m long. In late spring and early summer, small white flowers are produced in long hanging sprays that can develop into dark brown fruits.
