Labrador Violet Overview
The Labrador Violet, Viola labradorica is a perennial species from the Violaceae family. It produces heart-shaped leaves measuring around 2.5cm across, they are green and purple-tinged. Flowers are small and purple-blue in colour, appearing in the spring on short stems. It can grow happily in most light situations, whether thats full sun, partial shade or full shade. Plants will generally flower better with more sun. Enjoys moist, well-draining soil. It has a low growing, spreading habit, not typically exceeding 10cm in height.
