King of bromeliads Overview

This species is epiphytic bromeliad with funnel rosettes of arching strap-shaped scaly yellow-green leaves marked dark green with a purplish brown underside. The flowers are borne in mid summer with spike-like panicles of green-yellow bracts and tubular, yellow blooms.
