Always so busy park has too many people on think it needs limiting. Zoo numbers handled well and the heritage cafe food is amazing. Maybe could do with better ordering system though because the queue gets very long with only one in one out

Walton Hall and Gardens is a great place, especially for the kids. The park can get busy, but when fully open (Non lockdown times) you can also enjoy the "mini zoo" with plenty of animals for kids and adults to see. Lots of space with enjoyable views. Can enjoy a nice picnic or sport activity on the large grass areas. Local cafe available as well, with regular ice cream vans which is perfect for those hot days. Definitely a place I enjoy to visit throughout the year.

Fantastic park. Very popular so can get busy, particularly entry to the animal park. Lots of open space, children's rides and a play park. They've now got a new climbing play area, too. Only downside is the cost. You have to pay for parking and rides, new climbing area is £15 a ticket. I do feel it is worth it, just make sure you've got some cash on you!

It's such an easy place to get too and while you are there you can eat lunch at the cafe that has a great selection of food for all dietary requirements, I had a roasted vegetable ciabatta with vegan cheese, it was delicious. There is plenty of things for children to do, the park is great and the small zoo is lovely. If you want to take a picnic there are benches situated on grassed areas or like we do sometimes take a blanket. I always have a lovely day there and my 2 year old granddaughter loves scooting around on her scooter.

A hidden gem close to Warrington. Former home of Lord and Lady Daresbury. Great place to take the kids, with a children's zoo and playground. If you live within 15 miles of Warrington this is a great place to spend a few hours. Loved it and will certainly be making a return visit.
