Beautiful Gardens, well worth the quite pricey entrance fee. One very surprising and disappointing policy to NOTE: NO DOGS ALLOWED IN THE GARDENS. Parts of this glorious property are simply stunning. The Rill - pictured - is a simple but beautiful water feature. The walled garden - pictured - is so wonderfully laid out and presented fabulously with the added bonus of an aviary. There are smaller gardens and features tucked away everywhere - see map - and what is immediately obvious on arrival is the whole landscape is percolated with wonderful sculptures and iron work. The parkland is delightful with lakes and fisheries to explore. There is a barn tea house with picnic benches. Parking is in the field in front of the main house. See website for disabled access.

Excellent arboretum, majestic trees, stocked borders and great walled garden. Also has water features and hot houses. A 'Kew' in Oxfordshire.

Visited today for the first time & have already booked to go back in October. From arrival in the car park, organised very well you see the most beautiful elevation of Thenford House & wow how handsome is this house, simply beautiful. You then can sanitise your hands, scan the reader thingy forgot what it’s called ! Take a map and then at your leisure go on a walk through the gardens & arboretum. I cannot emphasise what an amazing place this is to visit, from the various trees, beautiful flowers , sculptures, lakes, water features & rill,& little church & finally end with a lovely drink & cake which was very reasonable at £3.50.. I loved this venue & am very grateful to have been privileged to have had the opportunity to visit, Thank You to The Hestletine Family. 🙂
