This restaurant is lovely, family friendly with great food. Place for kids to play and it's stunning in the gardens. Price of the food is a little higher than other restaurants but not unreasonable. The only issues I saw here are for those that battle with mobility as there are stairs and it can be difficult to find parking on the road.

I give restaurant a score of 1 out if 5. The scored is based on hygiene, food quality, service, pricing and portion sizes. The portion sizes are small...score 0 The pricing does not justify what you get. Very overpriced.. score 0 The service is bad. Our waiter was distracted everything I asked for I had to ask twice...Nigel...0 The food was poor. We were served stale rolls woth our burgers. When asked to please bring a fresh roll, they replaced it with a microwaved stale roll and presented it to me...at this point I had enough and asked for nothing else but the bill. ....score 0. Hygiene is good. Score 1. Would I recommend to friends and family? NO! Sadly, I will only visit the park next time....not the restaurant.

A beautiful, historical gem in the heart of Cape Town! Take a stroll down the tree-lined paths, and enjoy a coffee, pastry, or meal at one of the cute restaurants nestled within the garden. There’s a lot to explore here!

Easter Sunday, they had a special of gin and tonic for R 40. When my order was brought there was not a single whif of gin and the glass was two thirds full of "gin" and there was ice cubes floating. I returned the drink, and told the waiter that there is no gin in the glass just water with diluted something. Gordon's gin is quite pungent mind you. The waiter brought another one and said they have put three shoots now but again same story as before. Finally, I requested that they bring the gin without ice cubes. Lo behold, I could finally smell Gordon’s Gin and I could fill the glass with tonic water. G&T drinkers be careful of this new trick...
