About the garden

With French terraces, an Italian garden, a Dutch canal and even an observatory, the formal gardens beside Harlaxton Manor are a feast for the senses. Manicured lawns, blooming flowers and sculpted trees decorate the rolling hills that wrap around the manor which creates a spectacular backdrop.

The gardens also include an incredible 19th century conservatory where orange trees and tropical plants grow, some of which were donated by the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew.

Visited for the first time on Saturday with a friend and we loved it! So many interesting details in each room and the architecture and decor is stunning. The gardens are a pleasure even in Winter, highly recommend a visit on an open day ☺️

Took a rare chance to view, it is now a US Uni foreign study centre. Fascinating building and history though just under 200 years old so not as old as it looks. A real mix and match of styles inside and out. Definitely want to return to explore the grounds in better weather

I cant thank the Harlaxton Manor Staff enough for helping my wife and I bring elderly parents complete with Wheelchairs to such a beautiful location. We had a lovely afternoon tea and enjoyed the stunning gardens and spectacular building. Thank you so much.

Not open very often. But highly recommend going to this venue if you get a chance. The rooms are empty but some of them are exquisitely decorated.
