Wow, just wow Where do I begin....what a beautiful, relaxed, welcoming hidden gem Food worthy of Michelin stars, the most beautiful and comfortable HUGE bedrooms I have ever seen, art everywhere you look and I want to buy all the furniture for my own house. As for the sculpture park, just so peaceful (except the welcome to the third millenium exhibit which is so emotive it brought me to tears) Top that off with a hostess who genuinely wants to talk and show you around. Thank you Jackie and team. I can't wait to return

Stayed here for 3 nights in August. Such an unusual hotel. Room was beautiful and very comfortable. The rooms are all themed with films being the inspiration. Breakfast choice was extensive with something to suit everyone. We had not booked evening meal but decided to give it a try on the first night, food was very good in fact we ate there on the 3 nights even inviting relations we were visiting along on the third night. The owners are still working on some improvements they have so many plans and ideas and are very enthusiastic about how they want it to be, but we could not fault this hotel. The sculpture gardens are very interesting and worth seeing while there.

We found this a delightfully different garden to explore. The sculpture is varied and there's something for everyone. We purchased tickets on the day from reception and received a map to help guide us round. The sculpture is carefully placed with planting around the valley landscape. Note the site has some steep steps. We stopped for coffee and cake on the terrace, very good.

I recently attended Broomhill with friends. We visited the sculpture exhibits and had lunch at the restaurant. It is an amazing place with fantastic art sculptures arranged around the landscape, buried in beautiful green foliage that make the sculpture piece come to life. The restaurant had a limited menu but food was very well cooked, very delicious. Staff was friendly, efficient and professional. There is a country pub on the grounds. There is also an indoor gallery with some amazingly impressive movie memorabilia. Definitely would suggest a visit if you're ever in Barnstaple.

Sorry but chaos comes to mind. Stopped here to look at the gardens. There are some good sculptures and some which are not. Obviously it is all very objective. However, quite a walk up hill on a slippery road to buy a ticket. There were two ladies at the office, a queue had formed and total confusion set in. My husband went to buy tickets and I wandered into what I thought was the cafe, 2 people stood around, I asked a young lady if this was where I ordered coffee, she just shrugged, the chef was behind a counter and didn't speak, I was eventually told to go back to reception, I caught up with my husband who was paying and asked him to add on two coffees and the receptionist said I will do that after I have served the queue, so I wandered back into the cafe where two women were now at a lap top, I said I have been told by you to go to reception and reception tell me to come in here. Just chaos. This was 11 am, so not early and certainly not at opening time. If you are offering a service then get it sorted or don't bother. Eventually one of the women said would you like coffee to which I responded, don't bother. It's just not worth it. 😕
