This my first time at Airfield and it was definitely a good experience. The grounds are nicely laid out but also very peaceful. Everything from formal style gardens to goats, sheep, and forest playgrounds. Perfects for adults and children around 2 years old. We loved it. There are about 3 cafes and all of them are very nice. At 12 euro entry its a little on the expensive side. But not extortionate.

The veg garden is full of stuff. The walled garden is a picture.

Truly seasonal menus means there's always something new to try. One small annoyance, unlike other cafes with a similar ordering system (you order at the counter, get a number and your food is brought to you) your hot drinks are made then and there when you place your ordee, so you can't order a tea and have it made at the end of your meal or when your meal arrives. If you want it later, you need to go place a new order, which means you have to stand in line behind everyone also ordering food just to get that cup of coffee or tea. Slightly off-putting considering other cafes do this in a better way (either producing a separate slip or a token). Their main meals are where they shine and the cafe is in a beautiful setting. If you go on a Friday before 2pm, there's a small market (5 or 6 stalls) with fresh organic fruit & veg, local meat, olives, oils, bread etc.

Well worth a visit. Good education about where our food comes from. Fun play areas. The cafe is painfully slow, bring your own food!

Great place for family outing! The gardens are great, and a lot of farm animals and experiences. Good restaurant on site with products grown on site. Ample parking space.
