Chinese Silvergrass Overview

Miscanthus sinensis is a rhizomatous grass species originating from Eastern Asia with a clumping growth habit. Commonly known by the names Chinese Silvergrass, Eulalia Grass, Maiden Grass and Zebra Grass, amongst others. This plant can grow to a height of around 3m, producing linear to strap-shaped leaves and feathery, cream inflorescences with a purple tinge.

By division in autumn; however, specific cultivars should be propagated by dividing the larger clumps in winter.
