Horseshoe Vetch Overview
Also known as horseshoe vetch, this species is a low-growing, flowering, perennial shrub that produces many clusters of yellow, strongly scented, pea-like flowers in spherical arrangements radiating from a central stem. Following flowering, narrow seed pods are produced, which upon maturity curl up into U-shapes resembling horseshoes, hence their common name. Foliage is narrow, rounded and divided into leaflets, these are arranged in 4 or 5 pairs, with a single leaflet at the tip.
