Day Lily Overview

This is a vigorous perennial lily. The leaves are dark green and will form a dense clump from which yellow lilies are produced in the summer. The flowers will open during the afternoon and remain open into the evening. These hardy plants favour deep, rich loam as their ideal growing medium, though they will do well in average garden soil also. They like full sun but will also perform well in light shade. Good drainage is essential.
