Tree Fern Overview

Evergreen, rhizomatous tree fern species from sheltered forest habitats in tropical and temperate locations in New Zealand. Foliage is 2-3 pinnate and leathery in texture, measuring approximately 1.2m in length and these trees can reach a maximum height of 8m and a maximum width of 4m. Multiple species in this genus are cultivated, they make brilliant specimen trees and may be grown outside in frost-free locations.
