About the garden

A formal Arts and Crafts garden that was designed by Reginald Blomfield in the 1920s, Sulgrave Manor was home to the British ancestors of the celebrated American president George Washington.

Set around a beautiful manor house made from the local stone, visitors to Sulgrave will find a herb garden, ancient fruit trees underplanted by wildflowers and a Tudor vegetable garden, wide lawns and herbaceous bedding, set in a tranquil rural location. Families will be pleased to note that there is a large paddock and children's forest play area, perfect for keeping the kids entertained.

Yesterday we attended a wedding at Sulgrave Manor, and truly could not fault any aspect of the day. The maitre d’ was amazing, ensuring all the guests had what they needed. Played with the children, placed us (with two small children) on a table with space around it for the buggy, and treated the children as individuals. The food was incredible definitely the best meal I’ve ever eaten at a wedding, well served in a timely fashion. A beautiful venue made extra special by the lovely staff. Thank you

Very entertaining outdoor performance of The Tempest by Pantaloons theatre company on the lawn at Sulgrave. If you get a chance to see one of their shows grab it.
