About the garden

Tucked away from the busyness of modern life, with breathtaking views of the Malvern Hills, Spetchley Park Gardens is a Worcestershire gem. Discover everything from beautiful borders in the walled garden and luscious lawns to tranquil waters and the Melon Yard containing pineapple-scented flowers.

Every generation of the Berkeley family, who have owned Spetchley for over 400 years, has helped shape the garden into what you see today by filling it with unusual and interesting flora from across the world. Spring brings glowing Daffodils accompanied by elegant Magnolias and summer welcomes exotic plants while autumn transforms the landscape into a sea of deep orange, yellow and crimson. The 30-acre garden is also home to one of the most magnificent and largest private collections of Peonies.

There’s no need to leave this glorious oasis to eat – indulge in a homemade and locally sourced picnic from the Granary Coffee Shop within the garden. The plant shop has new stock weekly so you can take part of the garden with you.

It's easy to spend the whole day within these gardens.. even hours sitting by the lakeside alone.. all so calm and tranquil. Didn't want my time there to come to an end!

Nice picturesque outdoor location to stroll around. Nice cake and coffee. Shame they only take plastic at the entry and I only had cash. Fortunately another customer paid me in with her card and I gave her the cash.

Beautiful. Very peaceful and calming. Admission Very reasonable. Grounds beautiful, not manicured to an inch of their life but all the more beautiful for it. Food, especially the sausage roll delicious and in lovely surroundings. Definitely recommend.

We've passed the gardens so many times so finally visited today and it was beautiful. There are so many lovely plants and flowers and hidden areas to find a bench to enjoy the calm and views. Sculptures in the garden was still on and they were lovely to spot as you wander the gardens. We also had a sandwich from The Granary which was delicious. We've definitely be coming back.

Lovely small garden to wander around. All paths gravelled so easy walking on the flat. Round the lake it is grass. Most enjoyable today in fine weather.
