Yeddo Hawthorn Overview

Rhaphiolepis umbellata, commonly known as Yeddo Hawthorn, is an evergreen shrub that produces fragrant white flowers in spring that develop into clusters of blue-black berries in autumn. This slow-growing shrub has a rounded habit covered in glossy dark green leaves. Native to Japan, Korea and Taiwan, there is some confusion over its classification, and it is occasionally labelled as Rhaphiolepsis indica or Indian Hawthorn.
