Zonal Pelargonium Overview
Pelargonium × hortorum is a hybrid between Pelargonium zonale and Pelargonium inquinans, collectively known as Zonal Pelargoniums. These perennials are popular bedding and container plants. This group of Pelargonium cultivars has leaves that are marked and inflorescences that have large, tight, ball-like flowers - usually red, pink or white in colour. These Zonal Pelargoniums are the ones most commonly seen in garden centres and florists.
