Cushion Bush Overview
Leucophyta is a monotypic genus comprising of one shrub species in the Asteraceae family. Endemic to Australia, L. brownii, commonly known as cushion bush, has a compact rounded habit with a tangle of hairy branches that give it a silver sheen. Globular yellowy-white flowers appear on upright stems in the summer. In the wild it is found on exposed cliffs and sand dunes, it is also commonly grown in cultivation.
