Monstera obliqua Overview
Monstera obliqua is a species in the Araceae family, native around Trinidad to Central and Southern Tropical America. Like other members in the genus Monstera, this species is an epiphytic climber. Monstera obliqua is particularly known for its highly fenestrated foliage. However, this species is quite rare in cultivation, often being confused for other Monstera species such as Monstera adansonii. Though rarely seen when grown as a houseplant, the flowerhead consists of a green-white spathe, which becomes a bright yellow at maturity.
