Wigandia Overview
These are evergreen shrubs with 5 species, which have very large, oval to heart-shaped, scalloped, deep green leaves with white, stinging hairs beneath. The flowers are pale, purple-blue and bloom large terminal, one-sided sprays from mid spring to mid autumn. You should cut down the flowering stems in the spring to prevent the plants becoming straggly.
