Deuterocohnia brevifolia is an evergreen perennial succulent species in the bromeliad family, Bromeliaceae. Originating from South America, this species is found naturally in Argentina and Bolivia. It produces rosettes of green, triangular, pointed leaves with spiny margins up to 5cm across, leaves measure up to 2cm in length. This species has a mat-forming habit and typically grows to around 90cm tall. Flowers are green-yellow and non-showy.
