Cape Honeysuckle Overview
Tecoma capensis is an evergreen shrub species in the Bignoniaceae family. It produces scrambling stems up to 3m in length, these are self-clinging and bear dark green foliage. Leaves are divided into a pinnate arrangement and this plant produces bright orange blooms in clusters. Flowers are around 5cm long, appearing late in the summer, they are tubular and curve gently. This species has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
