Blue Star Overview

Amsonia tabernaemontana var. illustris is a clumping perennial plant from the Apocynaceae family, that produces numerous stems. Foliage is dark green and oval to lance-shaped, flowers are produced in rounded clusters. The star-like, pale blue flowers appear in terminal, pyramidal clusters, appearing from late spring through to the middle of summer.
