Ctenanthe amabilis is an evergreen perennial from South America. This plant, which is also known by the common name Never Never Plant, likes a shady, warm, sheltered position. Ctenanthe are popular houseplants in many parts of the world, this species is one of the lesser-seen in cultivation. It's beautiful striped elongated leaves are grey and a soft greyish-green. It is lower growing than other species of Ctenanthe and will spread happily in moist conditions.
