Scabious Overview
This genus of herbaceous and sometimes woody plants in the honeysuckle family are native to Africa, Europe and Asia. They are commonly known as scabious, and are popular garden plants with many cultivars available. They are grown for their pincushion-like heads formed of many tiny florets and come in a range of bright and pastel shades. They prefer well-drained soil in full sun.
