Umbrellawort Overview
Mirabilis is a genus comprising of around 55 species of annual or perennial flowering plants in the Nyctaginaceae family. They are mostly native to the Americas and commonly known by the names Four-O'Clocks or Umbrellaworts as they open their flowers in the afternoon. These bushy plants produce simple, paired, alternate leaves and sometimes fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers in a range of colours.
