Horse Chestnut Overview
Aseculus contains around 20 species of deciduous trees and shrubs. They are cultivated for their large distinctive divided leaves, measuring up to 65cm across. They show vibrant autumn colouration and clusters of delicate white or pink flowers, which form spiky or smooth coated fruits containing hard seeds. They are native to temperate climates in the northern Hemisphere and can make good specimen trees in large gardens.
