Ammi Overview
Ammi is a small genus with around 6 summer-flowering, herbaceous, annual or biennial plants is in the carrot family. It includes species with common names such as the toothpick plant, bullwort and Bishop’s weed. It originates from North Africa, Asia and Europe but many species can be found worldwide due to introduction by humans. As cultivated garden plants, they have attractive umbels of greenish-white flowers above finely toothed fern-like leaves.
