Giant Ironweed Overview

One of the tallest Ironweeds, capable of growing 2-3 metres in a season. Has stiff, leafy stems that branch out at the top. Native to river banks, wetlands and wildflower meadows. Prefers moister conditions but will grow in most average garden soils.

Other uses of Giant Ironweed

Effective background plant for borders or 'naturalised' in meadows or by water.
