They made us feel so welcome. Provided a wheelchair for our friend. A lovely girl let us watch her feeding the beautiful Egyptian geese and unusual American birds and she told us some really interesting things about the centre. Has a really awesome shop and a cool outdoor area to eat ice-cream and tons of stuff for children to enjoy. And above all it is an absolute paradise for wildlife.

It was a very cold overcast winter's day, so we drove to the WWT in Barnes, right by the river Thames. Well it's free parking, has two cafe's, ample toilets and best of all loads of wildlife from otters to all types of birds and ducks. There are lots of Hides where you can quietly observe the wildlife so bring your binoculars. There's a shop of course and your visit contributes to the upkeep. Highly recommended for children and adults.

The best experience ever - listening to bird song whilst the sun comes up. Arrived at 4.45AM - still night (bed!) time for most of us. Our knowledgeable guide (Adam) was there at the entrance to meet us. Coffee served whilst Adam explained what to look out for and how he had 'choreographed' our journey. It was magical. Adam knew every birds tweet and song. He identified every bird and talked us through their journeys from Africa and Europe to their summer homes. A magical experience through a stunning wetland with a sensitive, intelligent bird loving expert. The journey ended in their delightful cafe. Thank you Wetlands and please pass on our thanks to Adam.

Excellent for children (and bird lovers outside of holidays!) We were drawn here by the current Lego trail which was suitably fun but we discovered what i would argue is one of the best playgrounds in country (bring a towel and swimmers!) We also enjoyed pond dipping and running through around the wild walk. An extremely full day without even mentioning all the lovely ducks geese and birds that call it their home. Well done WWT.
