Hey, we stayed there on July 8th and left July 10. The grounds are beautiful, but the house needs renovation especially in the bathrooms where it is old school with no shower. Downstairs was a little musty and the cooker was so slow despite being an inducation cooker. We tried just making tea and it took forever so we never used it again. Our room was the smaller of the 3 and the sheets and pillow cases were so creased which is a pet peeve of mine. They should always ensure guests have clean ironed sheets.

A beautiful English garden in the Northumbrian village of Whalton. Fabulous wisteria, fragrant roses, a multiplicity of border plants. Just delightful.

Many unusual good quality hardy plants for sale. Guy is very knowledgeable and will happily assist you in your choice of plants. Manor gardens are open under the NGS scheme on Sunday this week. It's well worth a visit.

An absolutely stunning location which is open occasionally to visitors to raise funds for charity. Such an opportunity to visit should not be missed.
