St John the Baptist Church, in Church Preen adjoins the manor. In the grounds of the Church yard there is a very old yew tree which has been dated 457 AD, some experts believe it to be the oldest tree in Europe. Currently it is supported by a steel bracing band. The church itself is narrow, each stained glass window is dedicated to a particular person. Despite Church Preen being hiden in the Shropshire hills it is well worth a visit. There is plenty of parking available, however for times of worship one is advised to check in advance.

An ancient church in a beautiful position with strong connections to Wenlock Priory.
