The staff were really friendly and so accommodating that they made up for what was otherwise a very underwhelming and overall disappointing visit. Edit: My experience may be down to expectation being different: we have visited a lot of public gardens, stately homes and country parks over the years and perhaps we were expecting similar. Alternatively, if your expectation is to seek out or discover new plans and flowers for your garden, you will probably have a much better day, hope this helps :) Original review: The main "attraction" is in need of some TLC, desperately. The garden centre/nursery site is equally in disrepair and wheelchair access is extremely limited.

Whats a fantastic place. If you are around or not you just see this place. Rear plants, great garden to visit and they have a cafe too.

Very friendly staff, coffee and chocolate orange cake delicious. Dog friendly too. Plants looked very healthy. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't get round the gardens but will return.
